MENDACITY!

SCCT's production of "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof" opens tomorrow night, and I tell you sister- woman and brother- boy you do not want to miss this show! This fabulous cast under the direction of Joanne Fox will amaze you in this Tennessee Williams classic.

I am so pleased to have a classic back on our stage, and this selection is perfect entertainment for a cold January evening. The show runs three weekends - and tickets are still available.
It is sometimes very easy to miss a show like this one - but trust me...it is very, very good live theatre. Call Julie in the Box Office or simply purchase your tickets while you are online right now! It just takes a minute - and you can select your seats from the website!

We are also preparing for our first ever committee night on Monday evening (January 14th) at 7:00 on The Mezz. If you have been wanting to get involved at SCCT - now is your chance! Committee Night will be every month on the 2nd Monday at 7:00 here at the theatre. We will have drinks and treats! There are many volunteer opportunities at the theatre - and this is the best way for you to get involved!

See you at the theatre!

Winter is here!

It is December in Iowa. And you wouldn't know it from recent years - but, snow is normal in December! The forecasters in our area are claiming we will have an additional 6" of the white stuff tomorrow. SCCT is planning to be open and all events will run as scheduled. So, bundle up and get out here! We have a great show running right now - "A Christmas Story"...we have performances Friday, Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:00. We have hot chocolate and yummy coffee drinks for you to warm up with, and live piano on the mezzanine. Of course, we want everyone to be safe...so stay tuned to the local forecast.
See you at the theatre!

Give us your input!

We have just posted (2) new surveys to our website - and we want to hear from you. These surveys will give us information to help us enhance your experience with SCCT!
Please take a few minutes and complete the surveys online. We also have hard copies of the survey available here at the theatre.

Good Stuff 2007 A Success!

Thank you to everyone who made it out for the "Good Stuff" meeting on Sunday night! The process of the meeting provided everyone an opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas for the future of SCCT. Please keep an eye out for the next "Good Stuff" meeting - it will be in the late winter/early Spring. Thanks again to all who attended!

Congratulations to Bruce Scheid

At SCCT this past Wednesday evening, KTIV hosted a retirement party for Bruce Scheid. It was a wonderful event with Bruce, his lovely wife Linda and their family, many community leaders, KTIV family members and friends in attendance. Bruce's distinctive voice and credible journalism provided our community with honest and notable agriculture reports on KTIV for 37 years. Even though Bruce is retiring, he will continue to call Sioux City home. We are very lucky to have Bruce, Linda and their family as part of our Siouxland Community. Congrats, Bruce! SCCT wishes you all the best in your retirement.

"Good Stuff" 2007

I am really looking forward to our "Good Stuff" 2007 meeting on October 28th here at the theatre. Pat Mack, SCCT Board Vice President has agreed to help me facilitate the meeting. The biggest reason for this meeting is to provide our theatre family with a place to share their ideas. There times when I find myself wondering what everyone is thinking...I finally realized I should just ask! We have a few discussion topics lined up for the night - including brainstorming, show selection, and committee development. We will also have time for Q & A. Dinner is provided - pizza and pop! Please plan on joining us for a fun evening! RSVP to the theatre by Friday, October 26th. The meeting is 10/28 from 5pm-9pm. I hope you can attend!
